He was a member of the Maltese American Social Club and was Helped with remodel of new Maltese Club between 1991 and 2009 at San Francisco, CA, USA.
Obituary: : Albert J Morando Sr, affectionately known as "Papa Al" passed away peacefully on Monday February 13th, 2023, surrounded by his adoring children and devoted wife, Rose Marie.
Born in San Francisco's Mission District on October 23,1935 to Giacomo and Caterina Morando. Albert attended St. Charles Elementary School and graduated from Lick Wilmerding High School in San Francisco.
Albert met the great love of his life, Rose Marie, and they were wed in 1957. They were blessed with four children: Michael, Kenneth, Julie, and Albert Jr. Though Albert worked diligently to provide for his family his whole life through; working for both Larabarru and Parisian bakeries for 35 years, fatherhood was his greatest vocation. He made sure that his children's lives were filled with joy. They took many family trips to Disneyland, Lake Tahoe, and Graeagle during the summers. Albert's pride in his children was absolutely unmatched.
Albert was a pillar of the Millbrae community, where he lived with his family for 61 years, and his absence will be felt strongly in all corners. He was a member of the Millbrae Lions club for over 40 years, serving both as an active member as well as past president. A proud Italian man, Albert was a great lover of the Italian American Club where he was known for his infectious smile and endless storytelling. A man of great faith, he was a devoted member of the Saint Dunstan's community where his children and grandchildren attended school. Albert also belonged to the Italian Catholic Federation.
Most importantly, Albert's grandchildren were the light of his life. He attended every event, no matter how small, and always could be found in the front row. With a smile on his face and a cheeky joke always at the ready, he brought laughter and light into any room he entered. Papa simply had an abundance of joy that he shared with all who were lucky enough to know him.
Albert will be remembered for his deep kindness, his love of red wine, the San Francisco Giants and 49ers, and his steadfast adoration of his wife. It simply cannot be overstated how truly loved he was in this life, and how greatly he will be missed.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Giacomo and Caterina Morando, his sister, Clara Bagnasco (Carlo), his brother-in-law, Art Pignati, his nephews David Bagnasco and Pete Pignati (Marianne).
Albert is survived by his wife Rose Marie, his four children, Michael (Diane), Kenneth (Silvia), Julie (Michael) and Albert Jr. (Eleonora), his grandchildren, Dominic, Andrea, Gina (Domenic), Dante, Michelle, Brooks, Dario, Vincenzo, Gino, and Giovanni, his great grandchildren Emilia and Salvatore and his niece Linda Bradbury (Jeff.) He is also survived by extended family; Sylvia Pignati (Art), Jeannine, Craig (Jessica), and many great nieces and nephews.

He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Chris was an athlete from an early age, playing in Millbrae Little Leagues for his entire youth. He also played football and wrestled. He graduated from Capuchino High School in San Bruno, Calif., where he and a fellow student wrote the sports section "Toph and Bones" for the school paper. He graduated from the California State University, Sacramento, where he majored in business administration, which led to long, successful career in banking and business development. Even as a young boy, he had an entrepreneurial spirit and had business ventures, including landscaping and lemonade stands. By age 13, he was already working at his uncle Larry Bianchi's store, Pacific Fish and Poultry, in San Francisco. Chris began his 22-year career at Bank of America at 17 years old. Chris launched his own consulting company, CG Blum Consulting, in 1999. He successfully grew his business, while developing and expanding businesses for his clients throughout Napa County.
He was well known for coaching Yountville Little League and other Yountville and Napa Youth Sports. He was an active member of the Yountville Little league Board of Directors for more than a decade. In his early years, he had season tickets to the 49ers and continued to attend most of the home games with his family. As an avid Giants fan, he attended most home games and both the 2010 and 2012 World Series celebration parades. Chris was a loyal sports enthusiast, and instilled in his children never to leave a game early.
Chris was very spiritual and especially enjoyed attending Mass at the Carmelite Monastery in Oakville. He practiced mediation and applied Buddhist philosophies to his everyday life. Just as people did, animals gravitated toward Chris, and he had an especially strong bond with his two beloved dogs, Harley and Carmella.
Chris was passionate about celebrating life and was most known for his ability to welcome and love with all of his heart. He frequently hosted large family gatherings, also opening his home to neighbors and friends, making them feel as though they, too, were family. He hosted many parties throughout the year, and was always enthusiastic about cooking and creating incredible dishes. He enjoyed spending time at his friend's local restaurants. He could also be found playing rounds of golf at Vintners' Golf Course, and working out at his favorite hangout, the Yountville Health and Fitness center. His philosophy in life was "work hard, play hard."
Chris would give friends and strangers alike the shirt off of his back. Many of his children's friends and Yountville youth looked to him as a father figure. He loved his family with all of his being and was so proud to be a husband and father, often saying that raising his children was his greatest accomplishment.
Chris leaves behind a legacy of family, friend-ship, business development, and community leadership. He was known for his kindness, generosity and bountiful love. He will be deeply missed by all.
